The 15th International Symposium on Digestive Physiology in pigs (DPP)

In May, the 15th International Symposium on Digestive Physiology of Pigs (DPP) was organized in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The DPP is one of the key global scientific events in the fields of pig nutrition and gut physiology covering topics such as endocrinology, immunology, microbiology and health.

Our scientific insights

Kemin actively cooperated with several abstracts and poster presentations. We here give you the opportunity to look into our scientific insights on the unique added value of xylanase supplementation in promoting gut health in sows and piglets, of Antioxidants to mitigate the New Grain Syndrome and of LYSOFORTE® EXTEND LIQUID application in growing and fattening pigs.

1. Vermeulen et al. 2022 Xylanase supplementation improves performance and alters the microbiome of lactating sows and their piglets fed low or high fibre diets (Thessaloniki study)

2. Van Hoeck et al. 2022 Xylanase impact beyond performance; Effects on gut structure, faecal volatile fatty acid content and ammonia emissions in weaned piglets (Thai study)
3. Desbruslais et al. 2022 Oxidation patterns in freshly harvested and stored grains, with or without antioxidant treatment
4. Wealleans et al. 2022 Improvements in AA digestibility and growth of growing finishing pigs following dietary supplementation with a combination of lysolecithins, monoglycerides and a synthetic emulsifier
5. Gonzalez-Sanchez  2022 Supplementing lysolecithin with emulsifier and monoglycerides to diets reformulated to lower energy on performance and lean-fat deposition in fattening pigs
