At Kemin, the well-being and development of our employees has always been a core value. As we look ahead, we aim to build on this strong foundation by enhancing our existing frameworks and introducing new initiatives that support our workforce in an evolving sustainability landscape

Our Talent Acquisition Internal and External Process, Health & Safety - Global Process, and Code of Conduct ensure a structured and committed approach to workforce well-being, inclusivity, and professional growth. In alignment with the latest regulations, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we aim to further enhance our approach to employee well-being, inclusivity, and professional development. Rather than aim at mere compliance requirement, we see the opportunity to embed workforce-related provisions into our broader sustainability strategy — using it as a catalyst for driving positive change and fostering an engaged, resilient workforce.

Gender Equality and Leadership Diversity

We are committed to achieving equitable representation of women and men at leadership levels. Future actions include continuously evaluating our selection and interview processes, offering targeted training for hiring managers and talent acquisition teams to address unconscious bias. Mentorship programs and structured succession planning are among the tools we are preparing to support career advancement and balanced leadership development.

Creating a Great Place to Work

In pursuit of achieving the Gallup "Great Place to Work" Distinction by 2030, we are preparing a range of strategic initiatives. These include developing training modules focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; enhancing our team action-planning model (from Execution to Excellence); and organizing regular follow-ups to track progress. We are also working to strengthen career pathways, provide robust learning and development opportunities, and implement consistent employee recognition programs to foster a sense of belonging and engagement.

Health, Safety, and Well-Being Initiatives

Workplace safety and employee well-being are fundamental to our sustainability efforts. Looking forward, we will continue to advance our health and safety protocols, along with wellness initiatives, to promote a balanced and fulfilling work environment. Our commitment to safety includes promoting a culture of safety through training and emphasizing core values, encouraging employees to report incidents as learning opportunities. To prevent accidents, we identify and report near misses, with KPIs tracking the number of cases collected and addressed. We aim also at developing safety systems that include hazard identification, safety training, role-specific responsibilities, and mitigation actions, aligning with ISO 14001. Safety training is a priority, which will include dedicated onboarding programs and best practice sharing through SH&E Champion meetings.

By integrating these practices into our sustainability framework, we are strengthening our position as a responsible and attractive employer. Our commitment to workforce well-being not only improves employee retention but also enhances innovation, productivity, and overall business success. By proactively addressing our workforce's needs and continuously improving our policies, we are building a sustainable and resilient organization for the future.
