Termox™ antioxidants stabilise poultry fat and poultry meal efficiently throughout the production process

Animal fats are derived from rendering process and often used as energy source in animal feed. Depending on the region, the protein meal is also used as an ingredient in feed. The production process of these products, which involves high temperatures and pressure, comes with a challenge towards oxidation. It is essential that controlling the oxidation in both the fat and protein meal must be done efficiently and preferably during the production process. In this report, two Termox™ products, Termox™ Liquid FG and Termox™ RC liquid, are applied during the rendering process. One trial is performed with the application of the antioxidants at one single point in the production process. A second trial used two points for application of the antioxidants.
