Before including any new product in your feed, it is crucial that you evaluate your raw materials and the inclusion rate of your additives. For our customers, we have built a Customer Laboratory Services team which develops, validates and offers in-house ruminant essential services. These services evaluate your feed or raw material by amino acid detection technology. Next to this, we provide tailored support for determination of correct dosing, stability and protection of the KESSENT® product to your feed production process.
How important is sampling?
Reliable data analysis depends on various factors such as using the best fitted equipment, having skilled analysts, correct sampling, etc. This last factor is crucial. If you want to ensure reliable data on your feed, representative sampling is needed. Find here a protocol to ensure proper sampling and size reduction of bulk materials (link to download CLS).
The challenge of accurate sampling is to maintain all physical and chemical characteristics of the entire bulk material to a small amount necessary for the sample. Here we present a short, practical protocol for proper sampling and size reduction of bulk materials.
Laboratory services for the next level in ruminant nutrition
As our client, you can rely on three unique services:
- Inclusion Rate Evaluation
This service recovers the active ingredients of KESSENT from feed or feed raw materials and provides you with the exact dosage level of KESSENT in your specific premix, concentrate or complementary feed. - Protection Rate Evaluation
Through sophisticated detection of Methionine by LC-MS and insight in the KESSENT applied dosage, this service offers you the protection rate of the applied KESSENT in your specific premix or concentrate. - Integrity – Stability Evaluation
Evaluation of the integrity of the KESSENT product in your specific premix, concentrate, silage or other feed material is done through stability measurements and provides insight in leakage degree of the applied product.
How can we improve together the nutritional goals for ruminants? Our ruminant experts are ready to help you.
